news | Kan Mikami two-night residencyKan Mikami returns to Café Oto for a two-night residency. Kan has been a singular figure in the Japanese underground since the early seventies performing his unique Japanese Blues. This will be the third time Kan has played at Café Oto the first being his mind blowing three-day residency in September last year followed by a one night appearance in December. It’s hard to believe that prior to those performances Kan had never played in London. Kan will be performing for two nights both solo and in trio formations with some of the most exciting free players around spanning different generations and approaches including John Edwards, Steve Noble, Alex Neilson and Guillaume Viltard. news | Tribute to Samuel Beckett« Et si je n’allais pas en ligne rigoureusement droite, à force de tourner en rond, du moins je ne tournais pas en rond, et c’était déjà quelque chose »Mercredi 25 mars ‘09 à 20h30Concert de soutien à la librairie Grand GuignolSamuel Beckett est un de mes auteurs favoris.
« And if I did not go in a rigorously straight line, with my system of going in a circle, at least I did not go in a circle, and that was something. »Wednesday 25 march ’09 Lyon 8.30pmSupporting ‘Grand Guignol’ independant bookshop A personnal tribute to Samuel Beckett, one of my favourite author, who died 20 years ago. With Lionel Garcin on sax & Charles Fichaux on drums.

news | “Marée-Lumière”vendredi 27 mars 09 - 8.30 pm- Lyon / France à bord de “La Vorgine ET MA Découverte” amarrée au niveau du 9 avenue Leclerc Lyon 7 with Mireille Antoine (voc) & Yvan Dendievel (clarinettes). Text from Jean Morisset. |
